No clarity from CBI on Look Out Notice against Sisodia, others
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not clarified so far whether the Look Out Notice (LOC) had been served against Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 13 others. When approached, the concerned officials, wishing anonymity, said that "they did not have any information in this respect".
Mehbooba Mufti placed under house arrest
Reacting to her house arrest, Mufti said on her Twitter page, "GOI wants to push the plight of Kashmiri pandits under the rug because its their callous policies that've led to unfortunate targeted killings of those who chose not to flee. Projecting us mainstream as their enemy is why Ive been placed under house arrest today".

Excise policy row: One of the accused in CBI's FIR linked to TV channel
According to sources, accused No. 15 Arjun Pandey, who reportedly works for a TV Channel, was allegedly involved with the other accused in actively managing and diverting the undue pecuniary advantages collected from liquor licensees to the accused public servants. The CBI has not commented on the matter yet, and it is not known if the said channel has any role to play in this. Some posts doing the rounds on social media claimed that the channel head has alleged links with the AAP.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters a day after the CBI raided the residence and office of Sisodia in connection with the case, Thakur said that the entire country and the world can now see the corruption of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said Kejriwal is No. 1 in making new records of corruption and after the liquor scam, Sisodia is now even unable to answer the queries of journalists.
Cattle smuggling case: Anubrata Mondal's CBI custody extended till Aug 24
Anubrata Mondal's counsel, who moved the bail plea on medical grounds, argued that despite having him in custody for 10 days, the CBI sleuths could not produce any substantial proof regarding Mondal's involvement in the cattle smuggling scam. However, the CBI counsels vehemently opposed the bail plea and argued that if Mondal, being a highly influential person, is granted bail, there is every possibility that he might attempt to tamper with evidence or influence the witnesses.

The election will be held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Sisodia claimed addressing mediapersons. After the Punjab assembly election, Kejriwal has emerged as an alternative at national level and that is their (BJP's) main concern, Sisodia said.

"Earlier, saala (wife's brother) was influential, now jeeja (sister's husband)," Janak Ram said in a reference to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's brothers-in-law Sadhu Yadav and Subhash Yadav being very influential and dictating terms when he was Chief Minister and now Shailesh Kumar in the government of his son, Tej Pratap Yadav.
