Desperation in Neighbouring Countries as Terrorism Wanes in J&K, says from Lt. Governor Sinha

While addressing the 16th batch of Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) recruits at a police training centre here in Reasi District, Jammu division, LG Sinha commended the unwavering commitment shown by the J&K Police for upholding professional excellence amidst trying situations.

Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Sunday that with terrorism entering its last stage here, desperation from across the border, the exporter of terrorism, is at an increasing pace.

While addressing the 16th batch of Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) recruits at a police training centre here in Reasi District, Jammu division, LG Sinha commended the unwavering commitment shown by the J&K Police for upholding professional excellence amidst trying situations.

"Since several decades, this elite police force is working with dedication to preserve the integrity and security of our country."

Without naming Pakistan, the LG pointed out, "The police force has kept the wheels of J&K's progress moving. Terrorism is breathing its last and this has made the exporter of terrorism, our neighbouring country, desperate."

He cited recent terrorist acts to prove that the enemy has reached a wit's end. He said that terrorism must be whacked once and for all, and reiterated that it has to be completely eliminated. "Recent terror acts are sign of our enemy desperation. Our aim is complete elimination of terrorism. We must hunt down the terrorists, their aides and harbourers," he stressed.

The LG, during the ceremony, inspected a smartly turned-out parade of the new recruits with a commitment to the cause of peace and security in the region.
