This sweeping victory not only indicates the NDA's sweeping ground-level support but also underlines the increasing trust of the electorate in its regime model.

The tie also did a commendable performance in the Anchalik Panchayat elections, grabbing 1,436 seats out of a possible 2,192 seats at the state level with a large vote share of 66%. This strengthens NDA's grip even more at block and panchayat village levels.

This win is a milestone for the BJP and its allies, particularly with the 2026 Assam Assembly polls looming on the horizon. In response to the Panchayat poll results, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the people of the state on social media, crediting the success to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He underlined that the people's approval of the NDA's welfare-centric governance was the driving force behind the victory.

CM Sarma also thanked the BJP leaders JP Nadda, Amit Shah, and BL Santhosh for campaigning in support of their party. He pointed out that the results indicated a significant turnaround from the 2018 Panchayat elections, the vote share going up by 25% against the previous poll, reflecting an overwhelming pro-incumbency wave.
