'Those on bail are batting for Muslim reservation', PM Modi's Strong Rebuttal to Lalu's Quota Advocacy

PM Modi denounced the INDI Alliance's support for Lalu Prasad's recent call for reservations for Muslims, highlighting the irony of former corruption convicts now championing religious-based quotas.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav during a public address in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, criticizing the INDI Alliance's stance on Muslim quotas as mere "appeasement politics."

Speaking directly to Lalu Prasad's proposal, PM Modi asserted that "He (Lalu Prasad) said that full reservation should go to Muslims. It means whatever reservations SC/ST and OBC communities have, they want to take that away and give to the Muslims."

He added that the reason the INDI Alliance makes these claims is because they depend on minorities as a source of votes.

Earlier, Lalu Prasad himself advocated for full reservation for Muslims, "People are voting for us. They (BJP) want to finish the Constitution and democracy. Reservation 'toh milna chahiye Musalmano ko, pura' (Muslims must get full reservation)."
