A new study by Boston University researchers has found that individuals infected with the virus are most contagious two days before, and three days after they develop symptoms. The study, published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, also found that infected individuals were more likely to be asymptomatic if they contracted the virus from a primary case.

Researchers from the University of Birmingham in the UK said the group includes people with vasculitis disease -- inflammation of the blood vessels -- who are taking a strong medicine called rituximab, the BBC reported.
