"Our message is unambiguous. We must stand up to terrorism wherever it originates. We must not just bring the wicked killers to book, but we must also take seriously those who are financing them, training them, arming them, guiding them to do their wickedness," Tharoor declared on arrival in Georgetown, after a tour of the United States.

Referring to the fact that India fought terrorism for more than four decades, he stated that the nation has arrived at a point of "resolved determination" to eliminate it.

"We will never allow anyone to think they can simply cross the border and kill our civilians or kill anyone in our country and get away with impunity. We believe we need to demonstrate to them there is a cost to be paid.". That is the message the government of India is conveying and what all of us are reflecting, that for us, the moment has arrived for a new normal against terrorism," he said.

Tharoor also urged the Indian diaspora in Guyana to stand in support of India's strong commitment against terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

As part of its mission, the delegation is also informing global audiences about India's recent Operation Sindoor. Under this operation, nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were destroyed by Indian forces. The Indian forces then successfully pushed back the Pakistani attacks against civilian and military installations, and caused major damage to Pakistan's important air bases through pinpoint strikes.

Guyana Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo and Prime Minister Mark Phillips reiterated their nation's unwavering support for India's war against terrorism.
