Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently underwent an urgent brain surgery at a private hospital in Delhi following a critical episode of bleeding in the skull. According to a senior doctor, Sadhguru is now on the path of recovery.
The surgery, which took place on March 17, aimed to address the bleeding in his skull. Post-surgery, Sadhguru was successfully taken off the ventilator, and his medical team has reported a steady improvement in his condition, with his vital signs showing positive progress.
In a lighthearted manner, Sadhguru shared a video from his hospital bed on Instagram, joking about the surgeons finding his skull empty during the procedure. He expressed gratitude for the care received and reassured his followers about his well-being.
Numerous celebrities and well-wishers took to social media to express their hopes for his swift recovery.
Sadhguru, aged 66, is renowned as the founder of the Isha Foundation and for his environmental initiatives such as 'Save Soil' and 'Rally for Rivers'.
Dr. Vinit Suri, the senior consultant neurologist overseeing Sadhguru's case, described the situation as life-threatening. However, he praised Sadhguru's remarkable recovery, stating that he has returned to his normal self with all his vital parameters stabilizing.
The ordeal began with severe headaches persisting for several weeks. Despite the discomfort, Sadhguru continued his daily activities until his condition worsened on March 15. Following a consultation with Dr. Suri, an urgent MRI revealed significant bleeding in the skull, prompting immediate hospitalization.
Despite prior commitments, Sadhguru managed to fulfill his obligations with the aid of pain medication. However, his condition deteriorated further on March 17, leading to his admission to the hospital and subsequent emergency surgery to address the bleeding in his skull.
The medical team, led by Dr. Vinit Suri, along with Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S. Chatterjee, successfully conducted the surgery, marking a crucial step in Sadhguru's journey to recovery.
