Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the double engine government in Uttar Pradesh is showing the ability of not only setting big goals but achieving them also achieving them. The prime minister made these remarks while inaugurating the 9 km-long completed section of Kanpur Metro Rail Project. The ₹11,000 crore rail project stretches from IIT-Kanpur to Moti Jheel and the entire length of the Metro project is 32km. The event was attended by PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The three ministers also took a short ride on the Metro train for around 10 minutes from the IIT-Kanpur station to Geeta Nagar. The prime minister also inaugurated the Bina-Panki Multiproduct Pipeline Project. Modi also congratulated the people of Kanpur for the metro connectivity and for the inauguration of the pipeline project. Modi highlighted the development that the state had witnessed and the improved law and order situation in UP under Yogi Adityanath.
