Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the 594 km long Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur on Saturday. The six-lane expressway on completion will be the longest expressway of Uttar Pradesh, connecting the western and eastern regions of the state. The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Shri B L Varma. The prime minister addressed the gathering and also paid tribute to the revolutionaries of the Kakori incident Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, and Roshan Singh. PM Modi highlighted how multiple sectors will receive a boost due to the expressway and accelerate the socio-economic development of the region. He made these remarks while addressing the public at the foundation event.
