The order worth over Rs 37,000 crore for 83 Tejas Mark-A1 jets from PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd is going to be the biggest deal ever in India's military aviation sector. The 83 Tejas Mark-A1 fighter jets will have 43 improvements as compared with the 40 Tejas Mark-1 that are already ordered by the Indian Air Force. The deliveries will begin after three years from the time the deal is inked.
