India set to launch Covid-19 vaccination drive from next week, hints government

Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Tuesday said that the vaccination drive was supposed to begin within 10 days after Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) EUA to the two vaccines- Covishield and Covaxin. The DCGI gave approval to these vaccines on January 3.

US plans to set up India's second American Hub in Andhra Pradhesh's Vizag

US Consul General, Hyderabad, Joel Reifman met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday and informed him about the American interest. "He (Reifman) said the US government is interested in setting up an American hub in Visakhapatnam. Ahmedabad is the only other city in the country to have an American hub so far and Vishakapatnam will be the first location in south India," an official statement said.

"But the same BJP Govt imposes cuts of Rs 37,530 crore in allowances of 113 lakh Armed Forces and Central Govt Employees and Pensioners," he tweeted.
