Swati Gupta, a resident of Mungra Badshahpur in the Jaunpur district, was posted in Bulandshahr. Her wedding was scheduled for April 30. She was undergoing training for the panchayat polls in Bulandshahr and reportedly contracted the infection during the training. It is learnt that Swati Gupta had even sent an application to the district election officer, requesting to be excused from election duty.
Gurugram administration ropes in private firm to manage oxygen supply

Gurugram Divisional Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan on Saturday chaired a virtual meeting with Ravinder Yadav of Vplak India and Pradeep Aggarwal, who is an AI expert. Ranjan said that presently there is no accounting of oxygen cylinders as many people are taking cylinders, the majority of which are not returned. There are reports that some people are storing these cylinders.

The SGRH authorities said: "At 6 pm, we were left with only 2,500 cubic metres of oxygen, which will last only for five hours." The SGRH added that against the consumption of 10,000 cubic metres per day, it required a minimum of 11,000 cubic metre of oxygen in a day.

PMO directs health ministry to provide 150 ventilators to SPCCC in Delhi

The facility was provided following request of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director General S.S. Deswal who had sought allocation of 150 ventilators for addressing to the needs of critical patients at the SPCCC. There is a ward of 500 oxygen beds at the SPCCC where around 400 Covid-19 patients are presently admitted.
Hospitals in Delhi running dangerously low on oxygen

Sant Parmanand Hospital appealed to the state and central governments to help procure oxygen immediately to avert an imminent crisis. On Saturday afternoon, eight Covid-19 patients, including a doctor, died at Delhi's Batra Hospital due to shortage of medical oxygen at the facility.

Rajasthan by-polls: Strict COVID guidelines to be followed during counting

Counting for by-polls for three seats in Rajasthan, namely, Rajsamand, Sahada and Sujangarh will be held on Sunday amid strict Covid guidelines, said chief electoral officer Pravin Gupta. No one will be allowed to visit the counting centre without presenting the RT-PCR negative report or double vaccination certificate.
