The need to ensure quick and holistic containment measures were also discussed in the meeting. The Prime Minister noted that an advisory has been sent to the states to identify the districts of concern where the test positivity rate is 10 per cent or more and the bed occupancy in the hospitals is over 60 per cent for oxygenated/ICU beds.
Delhi receives 730 MT of oxygen, Arvind Kejriwal thanks PM Modi

"I express my gratitude on behalf of the people of Delhi for the supply of 730 MT of oxygen yesterday (May 5). I request you to supply the same amount of oxygen daily to Delhi," Kejriwal said in a statement. In his letter, Kejriwal also urged PM Modi for a daily supply of 700 MT oxygen to the national capital as the demand for oxygen in Delhi has been rising for the last 15 days.
Union Minster's convoy attacked in West Midnapore

23 crore Indians pushed into poverty amid pandemic: Report

"The number of individuals who lie below the national minimum wage threshold (Rs 375 per day as recommended by the Anoop Satpathy committee) increased by 230 million during the pandemic," said the report titled 'State of Working India 2021: One Year of Covid-19'.

Covid patients in home isolation can book oxygen online: Delhi Government

As per the Delhi Government's notification, those needing oxygen for themselves or looking out for their relatives must register on the portal - https://delhi.gov.in. One would have to submit these required documents to book oxygen cylinders online - copies of their Aadhaar, Covid test report, and CT-Scan report if any.
MHA's 4-member team to look into Bengal post-poll violence

Sonia to hold meeting with Cong MPs on Covid situation

Sri Lanka bans all Indian travellers until further notice

In a statement, CAASL Additional Director General P. A. Jayakantha said the restrictions were applied until further notice following the guidelines received by the Health Ministry until the next evaluation, reports the Daily Mirror newspaper. He said the CAASL have directed all airlines to preventing disembarking Indian passengers.
