Over 67K vaccinated in Delhi in a day: Govt
As per the data shared by the Delhi Government, 47,086 people in the age group of 18-44 got vaccinated till 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. A total of 5,230 people in the 45-59 age group were vaccinated, while 1,629 people, aged above 60, received the first dose of vaccine. As many as 1,571 frontline workers and 591 healthcare workers were also given the first jab on Wednesday.
Regime of US anti-Iran sanctions shattered: Rouhani
"As the head of the (Iranian) government, I declare to the people that the sanctions have been broken and if we are united, the sanctions will be lifted soon," Rouhani was quoted as saying on Wednesday. The US knows that it has to return to law and assume its obligations pertaining to the 2015 nuclear deal, commonly referred to as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said.
Intruder shot dead on border in J&K's Samba sector
BSF sources said an intruder was found moving suspiciously near a BSF outpost on the Indian side of the international border in Samba sector during the night."The intruder was challenged, but he did not stop after which he was shot dead. "The dead body of the intruder is lying near our post. A search operation is going on in the area", a source said.
Ex-Union Minister Ajit Singh passes away due to Covid
Former Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Chief Ajit Singh died of Covid on Thursday morning. He was 82. Singh was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram after he tested positive for coronavirus. Prime Minister Naendra Modi, former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and BJP chief J.P. Nadda expressed condolences on the death of former Union Minister.
Covid-19 Update: New high of 4.12L cases, 3,980 deaths in India

Casualties are now closer to the 4,000 mark after nine days straight of over 3,000 deaths everyday. On Wednesday India recorded 3,780 fatalities due to Covid infection. 3 terrorists killed, one surrenders in Shopian encounter
A group of four new recruits of Al-Badr terror outfit were trapped in Kulgam area amid a cordon and search operation. Acting on a specific input about the militant presence, police and army had started a joint operation on Wednesday night. Police said turning down the surrender offer, the trapped terrorists fired and lobbed grenade on the joint search party.

Centre only can identify, include a community in SEBC list: SC
The Supreme Court on Wednesday said the Centre could include a community in a list, which is supposed to be published under Article 342A (1), specifying the SEBCs in each state and Union Territory. The top court added that the states can, through their existing mechanisms only make suggestions to the President or the Backward Class Commission under Article 338B, for inclusion, exclusion or modification of castes or communities, in the list to be published under Article 342A (1).
Mamata effects major reshuffle in state police on first day in office
