In a different operation, the Indian Army confirmed that its air defence formations intercepted and neutralized a few armed drones of Pakistan trying to enter airspace above Khasa Cantt in Amritsar, highlighting India's continued attempts to prevent aerial intrusions from across the border.

In one of such incidents, today at about 5 a.m., a number of hostile armed drones were seen flying in the vicinity of Khasa Cantt, Amritsar. Severely condemning the incursion, the Army highlighted, "Pakistan's flagrant attempt to breach India's sovereignty and put civilians at risk is unacceptable. Indian Army will foil enemy plans."

The Ministry of Defence also expressed serious concerns regarding Pakistan's rising aggressions, especially the rise in drone intrusions and cross-border firings in the western zone.

A Pakistani drone attack injured three civilians, one of them a woman, late Friday night in a village near Ferozepur in Punjab.

Senior Superintendent of Police Bhupinder Singh Sidhu confirmed the injuries, indicating that the victims were from the same family and had burns while it happened. He also added that Indian security forces have effectively downed most of the incoming drones, and this was the only reported incident of its kind in that area.

Residents in portions of Jammu and Kashmir woke up early on Saturday morning with loud explosion-sounding sounds. Morning walkers as well as citizens in Srinagar and Akhnoor areas ran to their homes, which is in keeping with heightened ground-level fears.

At the same time, overnight shelling by the Pakistani Army in Rajouri and Poonch districts caused significant destruction to civilian establishments.

According to a Defence Ministry report, drones have been seen at at least 26 locations along the International Border and the Line of Control. The sightings also include possible sightings of drones carrying weapons.

The regions affected are Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala.
