"The decision to postpone has been taken in consultation with Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who has considered the wanton aggression by India, which has reached a stage where the country's attention and emotions are rightly centered on the gallant efforts of Pakistan's Armed Forces, who are standing firmly in defense of the sovereignty of our dear country," the PCB stated. "The PCB and its players are in solidarity with the martyrs' families and our security officials," it added further.

But sources indicate that the Emirates Cricket Board, which has a good relationship with the BCCI, is not likely to grant the PCB permission to stage the remaining PSL matches.
