India Criticizes Pakistan's UNGA Remarks on Ayodhya and CAA

India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, expressed dismay over Pakistan's outdated perspective, stating, "One final point concerns a delegation (and its remarks) that, much like a broken record, remains sadly stagnant while the world progresses." She highlighted Pakistan's references to the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya and the Citizenship Amendment Act as examples of this stagnation.

India strongly criticized Pakistan, likening its stance to a "broken record" that fails to evolve while the world progresses. This rebuke came in response to Pakistan's Ambassador Munir Akram's remarks during a UN General Assembly plenary meeting where a resolution on 'Measures to combat Islamophobia', proposed by Pakistan, was passed.

Kamboj emphasized the regrettable nature of Pakistan's narrow viewpoint, especially when the General Assembly deliberates on matters requiring wisdom, depth, and a global perspective. She indicated that these qualities seemed lacking in Pakistan's delegation.

During the adoption of the resolution on 'Measures to combat Islamophobia' at the UNGA, Kamboj reiterated India's position. Notably, the resolution passed with 115 nations voting in favor, none against, and 44 abstentions, including India, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, and the UK.
