Actress Tisca Chopra recently treated her fans to a nostalgic glimpse of her younger days by sharing throwback pictures from her modeling era.

The 50-year-old actress is best known for her performance as Maya Awasthi in the 2007 Aamir Khan film Taare Zameen Par, which was India's official submission to the Academy Awards.

Aside from this, Tisca has also been featured in critically acclaimed movies like Firaaq, Qissa, Rahasya, Ghayal Once Again, Ankur Arora Murder Case, Good Newwz, and Jugjugg Jeeyo. She has also made a remarkable impression in the digital world through web series Hostages and Dahan.

Her latest appearance was in Murder Mubarak, which is a mystery thriller directed by Homi Adajania. The movie is based on the novel Club You To Death by Anuja Chauhan. The movie has an ensemble cast with Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, and Tara Alisha Berry.

The film is now readying for television broadcast on February 21. The suspenseful narrative revolves around an unorthodox police officer as he searches for a murderer, and with every step further into the world of the suspects, he exposes a network of lies.

Born in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, Tisca shifted to Mumbai later to follow her dream of becoming an actress. She trained with noted theatre gurus Feroz Abbas Khan and Naseeruddin Shah. Interestingly, she is the grand-niece of India's noted writer Khushwant Singh.
