Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' Crosses Rs 150 Crore at Global Box Office in Just 3 Days

The film has already surpassed Skyforce, with Akshay Kumar, which earned more than Rs 140 crore in its opening three days of release last month.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna star in the period drama Chhaava, which enjoyed an unprecedented run at the global box office, grossing Rs 164.75 crore in its opening weekend of release, becoming the top-grossing Hindi movie of the year so far.

The film has already surpassed Skyforce, with Akshay Kumar, which earned more than Rs 140 crore in its opening three days of release last month.

As per Sacnilk, an internet trade blog, Chhaava has earned a total of Rs 164.75 crore globally. With a net of Rs 116.50 crore, the movie has earned a total of Rs 139.75 crore in India. More than Rs 25 crore has been earned abroad.

Chhaava, directed by Mimi Laxman Utekar, hit the screens on February 14. Dinesh Vijan is producing the film on the Maddock Films banner.

Kaushal's titular character's existence, Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is the focus of the period play. 

Kaushal and director Utekar reunite in Kaushal and Chhaava, after earlier collaborating on 2023's romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, with Sara Ali Khan.
