Scarlett Johansson's potential return as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has stirred curiosity, given the franchise's history of resurrecting characters. Johansson acknowledges the speculation and playfully suggests the idea of a vampire or zombie version of the character.

During a recent appearance on the 'Today' show to promote her skincare line, Johansson coyly addressed the question of her return as the red-headed assassin. When asked if she had been approached to reprise her role, Johansson playfully deflected the inquiry, stating, "I feel like I have to tell you, but I actually don't have to tell you, Al. In a separate conversation with Savannah Guthrie, Johansson continued to play with the idea, stating, "It would be a miracle if she was able to return somehow. It would be a real Marvel miracle... but who knows? I'm not sure."

Johansson first portrayed Natasha Romanoff in 'Iron Man 2' and continued her role in various MCU films. Her character met her demise in 'Avengers: Endgame' when she sacrificed herself to obtain the Soul Stone. Despite this, Johansson was later seen in the Phase 4 film 'Black Widow,' an origin story for the character that received mixed reviews. The possibility of her return adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing discussions about the future of beloved MCU characters.
