Actor Hugh Jackman, who did the dynamic role in Marvel Studios' latest hit 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' revealed his regime to attain the perfect body for his character portrayal of Wolverine.
Recently, during an appearance on the popular show 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' he revealed that he consumes up to 6,000 kcal every day.
When Fallon asked about his diet, saying, "You must be eating something really intense. What's on your menu?" Jackman laughed and said, "Well, sometimes I even fry those intense things."
Further, Fallon asked, "Are you eating steamed vegetables?"
Now, Jackman broke out, frustrated, with his frustrations about the diet he had been having for months and which was becoming too boring to follow continuously.
He explained, "Eating 6,000 kcal a day isn't about eating the calories one would think. You could have a whole pizza and reach 6,000 kcal, but instead, it's chicken, tilapia, and beans. I don't know why it's tilapia—it must be the lean fish and green beans. But honestly, it's worth it!
Jackman also shared a bit of behind-the-scenes information, saying, "Here's something I haven't spoken about before: during the Hollywood strikes that were going on while we were doing 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' there was this one scene—I was really obsessed with how I looked. Shawn Levy, our director, said, 'When do you want to do this scene?' and I went, 'Let's push it to the end.' Then the strike happened and I was like, 'S**t!
'Deadpool & Wolverine'—a buddy movie with Jackman and Ryan Reynolds that narrates the exploits of the two iconic characters—has risen to massive success at the box office, thanks to the magic it has been able to revive for Marvel Studios after recent underwhelming releases.
