According to Deadline, the "No Kings" protests witnessed thousands taking to the streets from Los Angeles to Austin against those policies.
 

When questioned about what it's like to be an immigrant in the U.S. today, the four-time Grammy winner responded openly, "It means living with fear constantly, and it hurts to watch."

She also underscored the importance of coming together and empathy: "Now, more than ever, we must stay united. Now, more than ever, we must be vocal and get it very clearly across that a nation can change immigration policy, but the treatment of all people must always be humane."

Looking back at her own experience, Shakira described coming to the U.S. at the age of 19, stating she was "like many other Colombian immigrants who arrive in this nation seeking a better future."

In February, while giving her acceptance speech at the Grammys for Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the "TQG" chart-topper took the opportunity to take a stand with the immigrant community.

I would like to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this nation. You are loved. You are worth it, and I will always fight with you," she asserted.

International known as the "Queen of Latin Music," Shakira has been instrumental in presenting Latin American music to the masses around the world. She has won several awards throughout her career, including four Grammy Awards and fifteen Latin Grammy Awards, of which she has won three for Song of the Year.
