IIT Madras' startup, AICTE partner to upskill 10 lakhs Indians

'AI-For-India 1.0' is an online coding event and is open for students, IT and non-IT professionals and anyone in the age group of 8 to 80 years interested in coding. It is scheduled to be conducted on April 24, 2021. According to the institution, this event is expected to set a world record for the largest coding workshop conducted online.
New session of schools to begin with studies from home

In most of the states, including Delhi, students from Class 1-8 will not be able to attend schools in the beginning of the new session. The Delhi government has clarified that schools will not be opened for the lower classes at the moment amid increasing numbers of coronavirus infections.
10.45L students pass Class 12 board exam in Bihar

Vijay Kumar Chaudhery, Education Minister of Bihar announced the result along with the BSEB president in Patna, on Friday. The minister said that a total of 13.40 lakh students of three streams -- arts, science and commerce subjects, had sat for the exams, and 10,45,950 students managed to pass. The result came 40 days after the last examination this year.
Ashoka students call off strike, vow to fight injustice across India

In reference to the resignation of Pratap Bhanu Mehta, the students had said in a letter that the events point to a failure of Founders, Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor in protecting the faculty. They said this also has implications for freedom of speech for the students and faculty.
Foreign student enrolments in US dip by 18%

The number of international students, on their F-1 or M-1 visas, fell by 18 per cent last year, to 1.25 million, according to a new tally by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Student and Exchange Visitor Program, which manages the Department of Homeland Security's student visa monitoring system.
First merit list for nursery admissions out in Delhi's schools

Parents can check the merit list on the official web sites of the schools. Apart from, this various institutions have also put out the list on notice boards outside school premises. The nursery admissions process began on February 18 this year and will continue till April 1.

BHU students oppose Nita Ambani as visiting professor

BHU's Social Sciences Faculty had recently sent a proposal to Reliance Foundation, asking Nita Ambani to join the university as a visiting faculty at their Women Study Centre. Her response is still awaited. A group of about 40 students, on Tuesday, protested outside the residence of Vice-Chancellor Rakesh Bhatnagar on the campus and submitted a memorandum.
