UGC to consider CA, CS equivalent to post-graduate degree

In a statement, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India said on Tuesday: "Acting upon the Institute's proposal, the UGC has accorded the status of a post-graduate degree to Company Secretary. The decision will benefit the company secretary profession everywhere in the world. We are grateful to the UGC for this."
Racial issue at Oxford: MEA to take up with UK

The issue concerns Rashmi Samant, a 22-year-old student from Karnataka's Udupi. She contested the elections for the Presidency of the Student Union and won. However, following some of her old social media posts being deemed "racist" and "insensitive", was forced to quit. Samant apologised in an open letter as soon as the posts emerged. However, as the clamour for her resignation refused to die down, she decided to quit as the president-elect.
IIT-BHU develops prototype for hydrogen fuel

Rajesh Kumar Upadhyay of the department and his team said that it is the first such prototype in India and there are no such commercial units worldwide. Upadhyay said that the prototype isolated 99.999 per cent pure hydrogen from a mere 15 ml/minute methanol to 13 litres/minute and succeeded in producing 1 KW of power on integration with a hydrogen fuel cell.
Lucknow varsity to offer courses in occult sciences

Brijesh Shukla, the dean, said, "We are introducing a full-fledged paper on Shaiva philosophy and aesthetics at post-graduation level in our M.A (Sanskrit) course and will be conducting doctoral studies in Sanskrit on the topic of Tantraagam and Kashmiri Shaiva philosophy from this session."
