CBSE class 10 Board Exam 2021-22: Here're 5 tips for Term 1 examination

According to the guidelines and pattern of CBSE, Term 1 will be conducted in November and December 2021, and Term 2 will be held between March and April 2022. The Term 1 examination will have multiple choice questions and assertion-reasoning and the duration of the exam will be for 90 minutes.

This year's CBSE Board Examination 2021-22 for classes 10th and 12th will be following an entirely different pattern compared to last year. As per the latest updates, the board exams have been divided into 2 terms, and appearing for both terms is compulsory for all students. Both of the term-end exams will consist of 50 percent syllabus and the syllabus has been split in two, systematically based on the interconnectivity of concepts and topics.

The examination will be conducted over a span of 4-8 weeks, giving enough breathing time to the students to prepare and not panic. Half of the CBSE syllabus will be covered in Term 1 and the exam will be taken on the OMR sheets. For internal assessment of class 10 and 12 students, schools will be taking the internal exams and periodic tests as per CBSE's set guidelines. The schools will be required to upload all the internal markings on the internal evaluation on the CBSE IT platform.

1. Follow a proper schedule

Proper sleep schedules and meals are essential first steps. Students are advised to sleep early and have proper breakfast and then study.

2. Don’t have too much on your plate

Avoid putting pressure on yourself while covering the syllabus and have realistic targets for each day. Adequate breaks should be taken and one need not study everything in a single day.

3. Mix and match

It is important to properly plan the timetable for study and have a proper mix of easy and tough subjects and topics appropriately. As advised by CBSE one can start the day with a light subject for an hour or so and once warmed up, take up heavy subjects to maximize the output.

4. Solve sample papers

Alongside practicing the NCERT by heart, it is also important to solve sample papers. Students can solve one sample question paper each day for better results.

It is also very important to practice relaxation while preparing for exams as it improves concentration. One can concentrate better with a relaxed mind and can opt for exercising and meditation. Exercise and meditation can strengthen the mind and keep one healthy.
