CAT 2021 application correction window opens: Here's how to edit applications

The CAT 2021 examinations are scheduled for November 28, 2021, in three sessions and they will be organized by IIM Ahmedabad. The three-session slots are - 8:30 to 10:30 am, 12:30 to 2:30 pm, and 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The entrance is held for management programs and admissions into IIMs and MBA colleges. According to official data, around 2.31 lakh candidates have registered for the entrance this year.

The application correction window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) is now open and the students can make changes in their applications till September 27 (5 pm). The application correction process allows candidates to change the photographs, signature, and test city preferences.

How to edit the CAT 2021 application (if required)?

Step 1 - Visit the CAT registration portal at iimcat.ac.in
Step 2 - Click on the link for application form correction, or log in directly
Step 3 - Edit the information on the application form, re-upload documents, if needed.
Step 4 - Finally, save and submit the CAT 2021 application form.

There are a total of 20 Indian Institute of Management (IIM) colleges and these are considered as the top management institutes of the country. They include the IIMs from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bodh Gaya, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shillong, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur, Jammu, and Visakhapatnam.

CAT Selection Process for IIM admissions

The candidates willing to get into IIMs will have to clear the CAT entrance test followed by a Writing Ability Test and a Group Discussion which will take place after the CAT examination results and cut-off is declared. Every IIM has its own separate cut off and in case the candidates clear the required individual college cut-offs they will be eligible for the Writing Ability Test and a Group Discussion.

On clearing the above rounds, the candidates will be called for a personal interview session in which they'll be judged on knowledge, communication skills, their overall academic performance, performance in previous rounds of CAT, and common knowledge.

On the completion of all these rounds, the individual IIMs will release their final merit list which will have the final list of qualifying candidates.
