CBSE also issued a detailed guideline on the pandemic hit academic year on Monday. However, this scheme, according to a senior CBSE official, will continue as the board’s new assessment system.

In another set of guidelines, CBSE explained the management of the newly constructed ways to taking examinations. The term I examinations will be conducted in a flexible manner. The window for wrapping up these exams would be 4-8 weeks, depending on the school's situation and needs. The question paper will have multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 90 minutes and for the pandemic period, it will cover only the rationalised syllabus of Term I.
