Reports indicating the potential suspension of all Starlink contracts by the Brazilian government added fuel to the ongoing clash between Musk and the authorities. In response, Musk pledged to provide free Internet for schools in Brazil through Starlink if the government failed to honor their existing contracts.

Expressing dismay, Musk questioned the extent of power held by de Moraes, suggesting that the judge had overstepped his bounds. Musk further alleged that de Moraes had demanded the suspension of accounts under the pretext of violating X's terms of service, despite the actual motivation being concerns over corruption raised by users.

Despite the conflict, Musk reiterated his commitment to respecting the laws of countries, even when in disagreement. However, he asserted that compliance should not require the violation of Brazilian laws. Previously, Musk had indicated willingness to remove all restrictions, even if it meant closing X's office in Brazil.
