In JEE Mains 2023, Paper 1 will be for admission in undergraduate engineering programmes – BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and BTech (Bachelor of Technology) whereas Paper 2 will be for admission in BArch (Bachelor of Architecture) and BPlanning (Bachelor of Planning) course in the country; the examination will be conducted in 2 sessions through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

The NTA has also started the registration process for JEE Main 2023. NTA has also announced the reserve dates for both JEE Main and CUET. For JEE Main January session, the reserve dates are February 1, 2 and 3 and for 2nd Session, which will be conducted between April 6,8,10,11 and 12, the reserve dates are April 13 and 15. 

Applicants can apply for re-registration through official website of IGNOU— ignou.ac.in. Through this portal both Indian and International Students can submit their re-registration form for coming year or semester and the payment will be done online. The students and teachers have been demanding that the university should resume its responsibility of organizing the entrance exam. “We will go back to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Entrance Exam for PhD admission as the majority opinion is that for the PhD critical analysis is important and the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) doesn’t allow that," the Vice Chancellor told media persons.

Academic Council of the university last month passed a proposal to change the admission pattern for postgraduate programmes. Under the existing system, 50 per cent of admissions are done directly from the candidates who did their bachelor’s degree from the university based on merit in their qualifying exams.

Applicants should know that the JNUEE admit card would not be sent by post so the NTA Advises them to keep a copy saved with them in proper condition for future reference. According to the official notification, the last date for the applicants to raise their objections against the released answer key is 4 December 2022. According to the experts rating, Slot 3 (evening session) was slightly tough as compare to slot 1 and 2. The Quantitative Ability section has been rated more difficult in comparison to the last 2 years, whereas VARC (Verbal and Reading Comprehension) was rated easy to moderate.

According to the schedule, Candidates will have the time to apply for admission between December 1 and 3. The last date to pay the admission fee and secure admission is December 4, till 11:59 pm. Subsequently, the university will release the second merit list on December 7 and admissions will be from December 8 to 9. The third merit list for PG admissions will be out on December 12  and the admission process will conclude on December 15.

Candidates can accept the allocated seats till 4:59 pm of November 25. For this, they have to verify and have their applications approved from 10 am of November 24 till 4:59 pm of November 26. The last date to pay fees is November 27 till 4:59 pm. The university, on Sunday, November 20, released the list of vacant seats for the first spot allocation round of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

Eligible candidates can fill out the application form at the official IGNOU website — ignou.ac.in. Students have time till December 20, 2022, to fill out the application forms. They can apply for B.Ed Entrance Test, Ph.D. entrance test, and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme 2023 admissions. The Weightage of the entrance test is 70 percent and the remaining 30 percent weightage is for the interview.
