Heat wave continues to prevail over large parts of India

At Safdarjung - Delhi's base station - the maximum temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius was five notches above normal and barely 0.2 less than the recent times' 43.7 degrees Celsius on April 18, 2010 while the all-time record for April is of 45.6 degrees Celsius on April 29, 1941. Maximum temperature of 43.5 degree Celsius was recorded on Thursday too.

The all India temperatures (maximum and mean) recorded till April 28, 2022, are the fourth highest with 35.05 degrees Celsius in last 122 years. Earlier, March 2022 was the hottest in 122 years for the country, as well as northwest India. The average maximum temperature was 35.90 degrees Celsius and 37.78 degrees Celsius for northwest and central India, respectively, for April 2022.
Massive CBI raids in Mumbai, Pune over Yes Bank-DHFL scam

The premises belong to Avinash Bhosale, a promoter of ABIL group of companies, and Shahid Balwa, who was named in the 2G scam and later acquitted, sources said. The raids come two days after the federal probe agency arrested Sanjay Chabaria of Radius Developers in same case.
