Pahari tribe in Jammu and Kashmir delighted with decision on ST status

According to the Pahari leadership, they are fully convinced that the current government is for the poor and the middle class people. Till date, the file for inclusion of Paharis in the ST category could not go beyond the institutions of Registrar General of India and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, but now with the stamp of these institutions on the file, the pending demand is seen to be fulfilled.
Delhi Police grills ex-consultant of 'The Wire' in 'fake news' case

After coming out of the questioning, Kumar told reporters that whatever the police asked him, he had told them everything. "Rest is part of the investigation," said Kumar. 'The Wire' had also filed a complaint with Delhi Police against its former consultant Devesh Kumar. "The complaint was filed by the news website late Saturday evening through email," said a senior police official.
Morbi bridge tragedy: Sorrow and tears engulf families across region

Four-year-old Shivam of Rajkot, had gone to Morbi with his father Bhupat Parmar, mother Sangitaben and brother Viraj. A flight connecting Imphal and Aizawl under RCS UDAN commenced from Sunday and will operate five times a week, while a flight connecting Shillong and Lilabari under RCS UDAN will commence from Monday and will operate four times a week. A flight connecting Lilabari and Ziro also began operating from Sunday and will operate twice a week.

Seeking the reply of the central probe agency, special judge M.K. Nagpal of Rouse Avenue Court posted the matter for November 3. In his bail application, Nair argued that there was no purpose in keeping him under further custody as his custodial interrogation is not required anymore.
Delhi government revises auto-rickshaw, taxi fares, new rates to be notified soon

The new fares wil be applicable once these are notified in the coming weeks. The last revision in auto rickshaw fares was done in 2020 while for taxis - the black and yellow taxis, economy taxis and premium taxi, the last happened nine years back in 2013.

Officials said that the mobile application and the portal have been designed so as to provide a platform to the general public in Assam and beyond, including foreign countries, to pay their richest tributes to the great Ahom army general on his 400th birth anniversary in the form of write-ups and essays. Open for use by the public from Wednesday, the mobile application will be available for use in both Android and iOS-operated phones.
Ram Rahim names Honeypreet as 'Ruhani Didi'

BSESENSEX gained 1,387.18 points or 2.39 per cent to close at 59,307.15 points while NIFTY gained 390.60 points or 2.27 per cent to close at 17,576.30 points. The broader markets saw BSE100, BSE200 and BSE500 gain 2.09 per cent, 2 per cent and 1.82 per cent respectively. BSEMIDCAP was up 0.39 per cent while BSESMALLCAP was up 0.15 per cent.
