Mehrauli murder: Skull parts, more remains of Shraddha recovered from forest, say police

"We again went to the Mehrauli forest and have recovered base of a skull, parts of jaw and bones. After recovering the remains, we have sent them to a forensic lab to get a proper report," a source told IANS. The police team also went to a pond in Maidangarhi to search for remains after its water level was reduced. The source also said that accused Aftab Amin Poonawala, confessed during the interrogation, that he burnt pictures of Walkar after murdering her.

The police claimed that the rented accommodation, the place of offence, is being closely inspected by the crime team and forensic experts. From the house where Aftab killed Shraddha on May 18 and the chopped up her body into 35 pieces, multiple items have been seized already. "Following up on the disclosures by Aftab, various combing operations have been carried out at various places, including some forest areas, from where bones were recovered," a senior police official said.

Joseph and Hrishikesh Roy that "this man (Navlakha) had ISI links and links with separatists of Jammu and Kashmir". National Commission for Women takes cognisance of viral video showing couple getting converted for money

NCW released a press note that read, "The National Commission for Women has come across a video on Twitter alleging that a Dalit couple in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, was converted into Christianity in exchange for money by a religious leader and his people. When the couple stopped attending church, the religious leader and his followers allegedly threatened them and demanded four times as much money as given earlier. It has also been alleged that the couple complained to the police as well, but no action was taken in the matter."

Shraddha, who was beaten up and strangled to death and then chopped into 35 pieces by Aftab, had conversations with her friends and a co-worker either on WhatsApp or Instagram. She had told them that she has been physically assaulted by Aftab since the beginning of their relationship.
Mehrauli murder: Searches conducted in Gurugram forest area for human remains

Sources said that the investigators suspect that Aftab Ameen Poonawalla might have disposed of some more body parts of his live-in partnerin the forest area while coming to his office. Aftab, who was arrested on November 12 for the brutal murder of Walkar, used to work in C-Vent, an IT company in Gurugram. Meanwhile, police teams have also initiated technical surveillance and are scanning text message echanged between Shraddha and Aftab.
Mehrauli murder case: Aftab Poonawala's police custody extended for five more days

Poonawalla was produced virtually before the Saket district court after the court took note of the threats to his life and security reasons. A large group of lawyers protested outside a courtroom demanding the death penalty for the accused. On Wednesday, the court approved a narco test of Poonawalla on Delhi Police's submission that he was not cooperating in the investigation.
