US President-elect Joe Biden, on Monday, received a COVID-19 vaccine shot live on television in a campaign to boost his citizens’ confidence in the serum.
The former Vice president expressed his gratitude towards the researchers and scientists who worked ”tirelessly to make this possible.” He furthermore told American people that “there is nothing to worry about”, urging his citizens to take the jab when it gets available.
Today, I received the COVID-19 vaccine.

"The scientists and the people who put this together -- frontline workers, people who were the ones who actually did the clinical work."
But Biden, who spoke through a double mask, cautioned that there was still a long way to go before the inoculations can really halt the virus' spread.
"It's worth stating that, you know, this is just the beginning, it's going to take time. In the meantime, I hope people listen to all the experts... talking about the need to wear masks,” he added.
Joe Biden’s wife Jill Biden had taken the vaccine shot a week ago and the couple became latest high-profile public figures who took the jab in the first wave of the vaccination process. Last week, current Vice-President of US Mike Pence and his wife got the vaccine shot. However, Donald Trump is still missing out from the first wave of the vaccination process.
The pandemic has killed almost 318,000 people in America.
