Ajay Devgn and Son Yug Devgan to Dub for 'Karate Kid: Legends' in Hindi

​​​​​​​The father-son pair has lent their voices to the Hindi dub of Karate Kid: Legends, which will hit theaters in India on May 30. The movie will be released in several languages, such as English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Sony Pictures Entertainment India has united actor Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan for their very first joint venture.

The father-son pair has lent their voices to the Hindi dub of Karate Kid: Legends, which will hit theaters in India on May 30. The movie will be released in several languages, such as English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Making the big announcement, the producers got on to social media to post, "The master has a new voice. So does the student! Ajay Devgn & Yug Devgan are all set to bring Jackie Chan & Ben Wang's legendary journey to Hindi screens in #KarateKidLegends (Hindi). Kick into action with the Hindi trailer coming up soon."

Ajay lends voice to the popular character Mr. Han, who was first played by Jackie Chan, while Yug also makes his entry as Li Fong, the lead character of the film, played by Ben Wang. It is an important milestone in Ajay's professional journey as it is his first-ever voiceover for any foreign film. Yug, on the contrary, brings with him a new, fresh, and energetic vibe to the international franchise.

Karate Kid: Legends takes place in New York City and tracks kung fu wunderkind Li Fong as he copes with life at a new school, forms unlikely friendships, and clashes in a fierce battle with a local karate champion. Assisted by his instructor Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and the legendary Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li begins a journey of growth, self-discovery, and courage.

On the work front, Ajay was recently seen in Raid 2, where he returned as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The movie also features Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor, and is about Amay Patnaik's 75th raid as he targets a corrupt politician, Manohar Dhankar (Riteish). Released on May 1, 2025, the sequel did very well at the box office, being the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025.
