As of my last update in January 2022, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported discovering a cache of weapons at Al-Shifa Hospital's maternity ward and MRI center in Gaza.
The IDF stated that among the seized weapons were Kalashnikov rifles, explosives, mortars, grenades, and various assault rifles, concealed amidst medical equipment.
Additionally, the IDF claimed to have neutralized multiple terrorists within the hospital who had engaged their troops.
The IDF accused Hamas of utilizing hospitals and similar locations for operational purposes, alleging that they employed civilians as human shields in a systematic and cynical manner.
