The Pakistan Army has disclosed operational details of a targeted mission against militant hideouts in Iran, revealing the success of an intelligence-based operation named "Marg Bar Sarmachar" (Death to Terrorists). The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) shared that the strikes were directed at hideouts utilized by terrorist organizations, specifically the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
In a statement, the military's media wing reported that precision strikes were executed in the early hours of Thursday using a combination of killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons. Careful measures were taken to minimize collateral damage during the operation.
The targeted hideouts were identified as shelters for notorious terrorists, including individuals such as Dosta alias Chairman, Bajjar alias Soghat, Sahil alias Shafaq, Asghar alias Basham, and Wazir alias Wazi. The ISPR emphasized the continuous readiness of the Pakistan Armed Forces to safeguard the country's citizens against acts of terrorism.
The statement highlighted the military's commitment to ensuring the respect and safeguarding of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It reiterated the determination to defeat all enemies of Pakistan with the support of the nation.
While underscoring the need for dialogue and cooperation to address bilateral issues between the two neighboring countries, the ISPR's announcement followed confirmation from the Foreign Office that Pakistan had targeted terrorist hideouts within the Iranian border. This action was in response to Iran's violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and a prior strike in Balochistan that resulted in casualties, including two children, and injuries to three girls.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Pakistan conducted highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes against terrorist hideouts in the Sistan-o-Baluchistan province of Iran, reiterating the nation's commitment to combatting terrorism while emphasizing diplomatic solutions to resolve issues between the two neighboring countries.
