EU launches European Defense Fund

2 Pakistani soldiers killed in border firing from Afghan side

Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday fired on a Pakistani military post from the Afghan side of the border in the North Waziristan tribal district of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army's media wing. The statement said that the Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner and two soldiers were killed during an exchange of fire, reports Xinhua news agency.
Iranian Navy begins military drill in Caspian Sea

Global Covid-19 caseload tops 182mn

In its latest update on Thursday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 182,136,238 and 3,945,551, respectively. The US continues to be the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 33,664,909 and 604,71, respectively, according to the CSSE.
