Taliban promises military action against TTP if their talks with Pak does not succeed

Even before the Afghan Taliban came to power, Pakistan was in talks with the government-in-waiting to deal with banned militant outfits which have been operating out of the neighbouring country for years. These outfits include Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baloch insurgent groups.

The first week of the 26th Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) under the UK Presidency came to a close on Sunday, which saw around 120 leaders gather for the World Leaders Summit as well as negotiators, officials and ministers come together to make progress on the shared goal of limiting global temperatures to 1.5 degrees. In the first week good progress has been made so far, including new commitments to net zero by middle of the century, which means 90 per cent of the world economy is covered, triple the figure when the UK took on the COP Presidency.

Global Covid-19 caseload tops 250 million

In its latest update on Sunday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload, death toll and the total number number of vaccine doses administered stood at 250,610,452, 5,048,865 and 7,246,604,164, respectively. The US continues to be the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 46,487,740 and 754,429, according to the CSSE.
SpaceX Crew-3 launch delayed again to Nov 10

SpaceX noted there was an 80 per cent chance of favourable weather for the new date. "Following Crew-2's return to Earth, Falcon 9 will launch Dragon's third long-duration crew mission to the Space Station as soon as Wednesday, November 10, weather forecast is 80 per cent favorable for liftoff," the firm said in a tweet. The Crew-3 launch to the International Space Station was earlier planned for October 31 but was postponed, due to unfavourable weather, to November 3 and then delayed to November 6.
Women shouldn't be unnecessarily featured in ads: Pak PM aide

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Ashrafi further said that women should not be "unnecessarily featured in advertisements", adding that he is against such practices, the report said. He also talked about the growing menace of sexual crimes in the country and said that the perpetrators must be sentenced to harsh punishments as these crimes cannot be ignored.
