Russia bombs nuke facility in Ukraine's Kharkiv

Ukrainian authorities said on Friday said Russian troops have bombed a nuclear research facility in the country's second largest city of Kharkiv. In a Facebook post, Ukraine's State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate said the bombing of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology on Thursday night has caused a power outage at the Source of Neutron Nuclear Research Subcritical Unit.
Supersonic unarmed projectile from India entered our airspace, claims Pakistan

Pakistan on Thursday alleged that on 9th March a high-speed projectile, which was launched from India, entered its airspace after travelling 124 km and crashed near Mian Channu in Khanewal district in the Punjab province. Pakistan further claimed that the projectile damaged some civilian property in the vicinity of it’s crash spot but there was no loss of human lives.  
UNSC to hold emergency meeting on Russia's request

The meeting comes after Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's deputy ambassador to the UN, requested the world body to convene the emergency meeting to "discuss the military biological activities of the US on the territory of Ukraine". Russia has claimed that "recently found documents" showed components of biological weapons were made in Ukrainian laboratories with funding from the US Department of Defense. Russian Defence Ministry said US was helping Ukraine to develop biological weapons.
Truck convoy circles highway surrounding Washington for 4th day

Senator Ted Cruz visited the convoy camping outside a speedway in Hagerstown, a Maryland city approximately 110 km northwest of the capital, before riding in one of the trucks, reports Xinhua news agency. The Texas Republican also held a press conference in Washington, D.C., alongside Brian Brase, an organiser of the so-called "People's Convoy", after the ride. Cruz's appearance came a day after he and Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, met the convoy participants.
No chemical weapons were developed in Ukraine: Zelensky

Reacting to Russia's allegations that biological weapons were made in Ukrainian laboratories, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that "no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed" in his country. In his latest video address posted on Facebook on Friday morning, Zelensky said: "I am the President of an adequate country, an adequate nation. And the father of two children. And no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed on my land.
60,000 evacuated from Sumy; 20,000 from Kiev: Ukraine govt

The Ukrainian government has said that in the last two days, 60,000 people were evacuated from the besieged region of Sumy and 20,000 others from Kiev amid the ongoing war. In a video address on Thursday, Iryna Vereschuk, Minister of the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, said: "We have evacuated more than 60,000 people from Sumy, Trostyanets, and Krasnopillya to Poltava over the last two days.
Google to send air raid alerts to Android users in Ukraine

Google has initiated air raid alerts for Android users in Ukraine directly on their phones before expected attacks happen near them. At the request, and with the help, of the government of Ukraine, Google has started rolling out a rapid Air Raid Alerts system for Android phones in Ukraine. "This work is supplemental to the country's existing air raid alert systems, and based on alerts already being delivered by the Ukrainian government," said Kent Walker, President, Global Affairs at Google.

Russia hits back with export bans

Russia has hit back at western sanctions for invading Ukraine by imposing export bans on a string of products until the end of 2022, BBC reported. The ban covers exports of telecom, medical, vehicle, agricultural and electrical equipment, as well as some forestry products such as timber. The economy ministry said further measures could include restricting foreign ships from Russian ports.
