Israeli Soldier Killed in Gaza, Total Toll Climbs to 189

The soldier who lost his life was identified as Sgt. First Class (res.) Nitzan Schessler, a 21-year-old from Hadera, serving in the 55th Brigade’s 7155th Battalion. Sgt. Schessler was killed in a battle in southern Gaza, where two other soldiers sustained injuries.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Tuesday the unfortunate loss of another soldier during the ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza. This brings the total number of troops casualties in the ground offensive to 189.

The soldier who lost his life was identified as Sgt. First Class (res.) Nitzan Schessler, a 21-year-old from Hadera, serving in the 55th Brigade’s 7155th Battalion. Sgt. Schessler was killed in a battle in southern Gaza, where two other soldiers sustained injuries.

Among the injured soldiers, one belongs to Schessler’s battalion, and the other is part of the Combat Engineering Corps’ 603rd Battalion.

The IDF has recently escalated its ground offensive, initiated on October 27, 2023, focusing on central and southern Gaza, with significant control established in most of the northern part of the Hamas-controlled enclave.
