IDF Reports Another Soldier Fatality in Gaza, Death Toll Reaches 118

Israel initiated the ground offensive within Gaza on October 27 following a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7, resulting in the deaths of 1200 Israelis and the abduction of over 200 individuals.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the loss of another soldier in southern Gaza, bringing the total IDF casualties to 118 since the commencement of the ground offensive in Gaza. The soldier, Sgt. First Class (res.) Shay Uriel Pizem, aged 23, served as a tank commander in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 9th Battalion.
