The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the loss of two soldiers in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing conflict with Hamas, bringing the total military casualties in the Gaza offensive to 91. The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, marking another somber development in the conflict.
Among the casualties, Sergeant Major (Reserve) Kobi Dvash, aged 41, served in the Combat Engineering Corps 271st Battalion and lost his life in South Gaza. Master Sergeant (Reserve) Eyal Meir Berkowitz, aged 28, was a member of the 551st Brigades 699th Battalion and fell in the line of duty in the northern strip.
Additionally, the IDF reported that an officer from the Oketz canine special forces unit sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment in a military hospital.
The announcement reflects the ongoing challenges and sacrifices made by the Israel Defense Forces during the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
