On Monday, Iran and Pakistan reached an agreement for the return of their respective ambassadors to their diplomatic posts, as confirmed after discussions between the foreign ministers of both nations.

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Mumtaz Baloch, announced the development, stating that the decision for the return of ambassadors was made following a telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Iran. Further details revealed that Iranian Foreign Minister is scheduled to visit Pakistan on January 29, upon the invitation of Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Jalil Jilani.

The diplomatic discussions come in the wake of recent events where Iran conducted missile strikes in Pakistan's Balochistan province, resulting in the tragic loss of at least two children and injuries to three individuals. Tehran asserted that the targeted strike was aimed at Jaish al-Adl, a Sunni Muslim armed group accused of carrying out attacks within Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan region.

Responding swiftly, Pakistan executed precise military strikes within 48 hours, resulting in the reported death of at least nine individuals. The agreement for the return of ambassadors suggests a diplomatic effort to address tensions and resume normalcy in bilateral relations between the two neighboring nations.
