Al-Thawabteh condemned the restrictive policies hindering humanitarian aid entry, urging the daily arrival of a thousand trucks with genuine aid, 1 million liters of fuel, and the entry of equipment for relief and machinery for rescue operations.

He stressed the necessity of clearing debris resulting from the destruction of homes, schools, hospitals, streets, and critical facilities.

The fighting resumed in Gaza on December 1 after a temporary truce, with both Israel and Gaza blaming each other for the collapse. The Israeli military claimed to have targeted over 400 Hamas sites on the first day. Between December 1 and 3, at least 193 Palestinians were killed, and 652 were injured, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza.

During the truce period from November 24 to 30, 104 hostages were released, including 80 Israelis, 24 foreign nationals, and 240 Palestinian prisoners. However, as of now, an estimated 133 people remain captive in Gaza, including Israelis and foreign nationals, according to Israeli sources.
