“Not a fan of Musk at all, but people are pissed he put out a meme comparing Hitler to Trudeau who just took the rights of all Canadians away and will now seize their bank accounts, but these very same people called Trump a Nazi and "literally Hitler" for four years,” tweeted /@ Stalingrad_Poor.

This attracted a fierce response from both Musk’s well-wishers and critics alike. “This is extremely poor taste, not a good look at all, there is [a] better way to make an argument,” wrote one handle. “Elon Musk comparing Justin Trudeau to Hitler is another low for the public space,” tweeted a handle named Matthew Stadlen.

The American Jewish committee (AJC) also condemned the tweet. “Once again, Elon Musk has exercised extremely poor judgment by invoking Hitler to make a point on social media. He must stop this unacceptable behavior… Musk may believe posting a meme comparing Justin Trudeau to a genocidal dictator who exterminated millions is an appropriate way to criticize policies he disagrees with. It is not. It never is…Musk must apologize and find other ways to voice his displeasure,” AJC said in a statement.
