Mihir, 24, is the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah. He had been at large after fleeing the scene of the crime an early morning hit-and-run in Worli. Inebriated, he rammed into a scooter carrying Pradip Nakhwa, 50, and his wife Kaveri, 45, returning home from Sassoon Dock. The impact killed Kaveri, who was dragged more than 100 meters, while Pradip escaped with injuries.

Nirupam said he had always found it tough to remain in the Congress line while espousing the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray. However, he feels that hurdle has now been removed as he returns to the Shiv Sena to strengthen its ranks. He said he is reuniting with the party after twenty years and, thus it was like going back home. Nirupam also appeared confident of the MahaYuti alliance, saying it would win all the six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai.

Expressing his excitement, Nirupam informed the media about his meeting with the CM and their mutual agreement for him and his supporters to join the Shiv Sena on Friday. CM Shinde echoed a similar sentiment, affirming the forthcoming alliance.

Insiders suggest that Govinda is being considered as a potential candidate to contest from the Mumbai Northwest constituency, pitted against Amol Kirtikar of Shiv Sena-UBT, who happens to be the son of the incumbent MP from the Shinde camp, Gajanan Kirtikar.

Implicating Prakash Ambedkar for the current impasse in the MVA's discussions on seat-sharing in Maharashtra, Sanjay Raut indicated that the ball is now in the VBA's court to contemplate the proposal of four parliamentary seats.

Ghosalkar was rushed to Karuna Hospital in north Mumbai but was declared dead upon arrival. Noronho, who was also present during the Facebook live session, shot Ghosalkar as soon as the session ended and then proceeded to take his own life on the rooftop of the office where the incident occurred.
