The Prime Minister issued the directives after the Lahore administration raised concerns over Khan's security and asked the organisers to install a bulletproof shield for him. Khan, who is all set to address his first rally in Lahore after being ousted on April 10, received two security alerts ahead of the event, The News reported.

The total value of his two properties in London is over Rs 153 million, while his assets in Pakistan are worth Rs 108.24 million. Other details of Shehbaz Sharif in Pakistan include a 553 kanal agricultural plot worth Rs 3.6 million, two properties in Murree worth Rs 16.60 million, investments in the industrial sector worth Rs 720,000, a gifted vehicle worth Rs 20.8 million and money in the bank and cash worth Rs 66.59 million.

The issue was raised by Agha Hassan Baloch of the BNP-M on Monday. Perhaps finding themselves in hot waters after forming the government last week, PML-N parliamentary leader Khawaja Asif suggested early elections in the country which, according to him, was the only way to save the country from bloodshed and a possible civil war.

"I will take up this opportunity to convey my request to Beijing, NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission) and President Xi Jinping to reconsider (supporting) KCR for Karachi," he said, adding that the project's completion would lead to great feelings for China among the people of Karachi and the rest of the country, the Dawn reported.

Shehbaz Sharif had ordered to resume work on this project right after assuming the office of Prime Minister, Geo TV reported. "The former Prime Minister is panicking because I have been elected as the representative. I will work on a pace I am used to," Sharif said while addressing the inauguration ceremony here. "You [Imran Khan] may be panicked due to my speed of work, but the people have stopped panicking," he said.

Addressing his supporters during his roadshow 'Jalsa' in Peshawar, Imran attacked the US for supporting Sharifs and Zardaris. Reacting to the allegations levelled by Khan, the Pakistan Army claimed that their asset security was one of the best in terms of  international evaluation.
