Pakistan's nuclear weapons not safe under Shehbaz Sharif govt: Imran Khan | 5 Points

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Wednesday alleged that the country's nuclear assets were not safe under the Shehbaz Sharif government. Addressing his supporters during his roadshow 'Jalsa' in Peshawar, Imran attacked the US for supporting Sharifs and Zardaris. Reacting to the allegations levelled by Khan, the Pakistan Army claimed that their asset security was one of the best in terms of  international evaluation.

1. During a roadshow in Peshawar, ousted Imran Khan posed a question to the authorities asking whether the country's nuclear assets were safe in the hands of the Shehbaz government . "The conspiracy under which these people were brought to power, I ask my institutions, is our nuclear program which is in their hands, can they protect it?", asked Khan.

2. Imran Khan has earlier claimed that his ouster was part of a US conspiracy, adding the US promised to forgive Pakistan only if he was ousted from power. "America, we don't need your apology... who are you to forgive us? You are accustomed to these slaves, these Sharifs, these Zardaris," Imran said.

3. Questioning the silence of the institutions of Pakistan, Imran Khan asked whether they were not putting the safety of Pakistanis in the hands of these thieves(Sharif) and whether they have any fear of God or not.

4. Dismissing Imran Khan's allegations, Major General Babar Iftikhar, the DG of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, "There is no such threat to our nuclear program and we should not bring it up in our political discussions . Our program is at such a place that our command and control mechanism, asset security, is one of the best in international evaluation."

5. Imran Khan, taking it to twitter, thanked all those who were part of his Peshawar rally that was called for rejecting the US initiated regime change in Pakistan.
