The South Korean tech giant said the system, which the company developed over the last 30 months, has been first used by its offices in China and Southeast Asian countries. Samsung to launch 2 Galaxy F Series phones in India next week

To access the service, the consumers will need is a Samsung Smart TV (2017 model onwards) and an internet connection, the company said in a statement. TV Plus will also be available on most Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablet devices with O OS (operating system) or higher software version.

Samsung to lead premium TV sales globally in 2021: Report
The sales of QLED TVs, anchored by the world's largest TV maker Samsung, is likely to surpass 12 million units this year, up 26 per cent from a year ago. Samsung last year sold 7.79 million QLED TVs, accounting for more than 81 per cent of global QLED TV sales. Global TV shipments are projected to reach 223.09 million units in 2021, according to market researcher Omdia, which is down 1 per cent from last year's 225.35 million units.

According to Nikkei Asia, Samsung was forced to shut down its chip fabrication plant in Texas due to large winter storms. The plant is responsible for 5 per cent of the global supply of chips for smartphones and personal computers, and its closure has caused a widespread global shortage. As Samsung manufactured the OLED display used in iPhone 12 and Apple Watch models at the Texas facility, the plant's closure could impact Apple.
