The South Korean smartphone giant has started rolling out the One UI 3.0 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. The new update with firmware version F707BXXU1CTL6 is out now, and it brings the December 2020 security patch to the foldable phone.

According to a report in BusinessKorea, the South Korean tech giant will launch the Galaxy A32 5G in the first half of 2021 and the Galaxy A22 5G in the second half of 2021 to expand its presence in the budget 5G smartphone market. Samsung has reportedly partnered with Chinese consignment companies for the development and production of the Galaxy A22 5G in the JDM method.

Samsung said the Galaxy Book Flex2, Galaxy Book Flex2 5G and Galaxy Book Ion2 will be launched on January 1, 2021. Preorders for the latest laptops, all powered by Intel Corp.'s 11th generation processor, will be available from Monday to December 31 in South Korea, reports Yonhap news agency.

Speculation has arisen recently that Samsung may reconfigure its premium smartphone lineup with Galaxy Z foldables and Galaxy S devices after ditching the Galaxy Note family that is highlighted by S-Pen stylus features.

Earlier this year, Samsung announced a project with IBM, the Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority and telecom service provider M1 Ltd. to showcase smart factory solutions, including 5G-powered artificial intelligence analytics and augmented reality capabilities. Samsung and IBM have been working together for decades on government and enterprise solutions projects aimed at enhancing their operations.

The upcoming Galaxy S21 series is said to feature the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset in the US and South Korea, while other markets like India will receive Exynos 2100 processors. The phones are all expected to have 5G, with the S21 and Plus both with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 6E in the Ultra.

According to LetsGoDigital, Samsung Electronics filed a design patent titled 'Foldable electronic device' with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) in June 2020. The documentation for this patent got published on December 10 after approval. The upcoming smartphone is expected to come with a redesigned hinge that not only supports Flex Mode but also shuts the phone with zero-gap.

Samsung's started its journey in 1995 in India. The South Korean tech giant has grown to become the country's largest mobile phone and consumer electronics company with over 70,000 employees and revenues in excess of $10 billion.
